Why no Cures?

We have all seen it…
A race to a cure. Wearing pink ribbons for breast cancer awareness. Billions donated to health charities.

Why are we no closer to a cure than we were twenty or even fifty years ago? Plain and simple, there is no profit in cures. As offensive as that sounds, it is the unfortunate truth. Our current health system is not designed to “cure” disease. They are educated and geared towards managing disease via harmful chemicals and treatments. Contrary to popular belief, the health industry is still a “for profit” institution.

So what is the alternative?

Instead of everybody donating money to “charities” for a cure, why don’t we force a paradigm shift in the way we think about health and disease. Why don’t we mitigate the potential for disease by balancing our bodies nutritional needs. Why don’t we stop disease before it even has a chance to get to the point to where it is terminal. Why don’t we dispel the rumors and false information about what is healthy and what isn’t.

This is why I propose a new type of organization. One whose goal is to not only educate and inform the public about all the health related problems in our lifestyle, but to provide the tools and resources needed to make an effective change in ones own health. It is apparent that non-profit charities do nothing for the treatment of health problems, nor do they even attempt to mitigate the underlying causes.

Let’s all come together for a round table discussion on how we can make a tangible difference in ones health. It’s obvious that “big pharma” doesn’t have our best interest in mind.

I believe there is a better way. A more natural way. A healthier way.
